2019 Clara Cummings Walk

Date:

Saturday, May 4, 2019, 9:00am to 2:00pm

Location:

Harold Parker State Forest, Andover, MA

Please join the Friends of the Farlow for the 2019 Clara Cummings Walk at Harold Parker State Forest!

The Harold Parker State Forest encompasses 3,300 acres in the towns of Andover, North Andover, North Reading and Middleton. It has 35 miles of trails to follow and 11 ponds to visit. Fortunately for the FOF, the 2019 Clara Cummings Walk will be led by Walter Kittredge, a Curatorial Assistant in the Harvard Herbaria, who has been doing vascular plant, bryophyte and lichen inventories both in the Middlesex Fells and the Harold Parker State Forest. Walter leads regular tree walks through the Middlesex Fells and we look forward to having him show us some of his favorite spots in the Harold Parker State Forest for our annual FOF walk.

DIRECTIONS TO MEETING POINT:
We will meet in at the Bay Circuit Trail, 2177 Salem Street, North Andover, 42.63393, 71.04565. Note there is additional parking close to where the power lines cross the road.

Be sure to bring your hand lens for field determinations, insecticide, and pack a picnic lunch and beverage!
